Asking questions: Passover is all about questions. What if we brought some new ones to our table this year? “How do you feel when conversations about end-of-life come up?” or “I am a member of a Chevra Kadisha; do you know what that means?”
· From generation to generation: The Passover story and our seder traditions and recipes are passed down from generation to generation; what else do we want to pass down to the next generation?
· Liberation: Being together around the seder table is an opportunity to welcome conversations about liberation. The Passover story recounts liberation from slavery to freedom. Bringing in new interpretations is a way to find modern meaning in ancient tradition. How might we talk about liberating ourselves from the unknown by sharing more about Jewish end-of-life rituals and practices?
