Mark Alan Lensky passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Paul Lensky and Eleanor Waldman Lensky.Born in Houston on May 13, 1960, Mark was a bright and curious child who was active in the boy scouts, water sports, and tennis.  Mark worshipped his hometown Astros and would attend every game, often having players like Rusty Staub over to his home.  He had an impressive baseball card collection and it wouldn’t be unusual to find a spirited Mark waiting at a visiting team’s hotel to get their autographs.Mark received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University followed by a law degree at Michigan and a master’s degree in accounting from NYU.  Following a successful law career in New York, he returned to Houston. Mark was an avid golfer, loved to travel, and had fine taste in food and wine.He will be remembered by family and friends for his loving care of and devotion to both his mother and grandmother, Minnie Waldman.  A life-long sufferer of diabetes, Mark became a crusader for the cause.  His generosity extended to both the medical and arts communities in Houston.Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 2:00PM at Emanu El Memorial Park, 8341 Bissonnet St, Houston, Texas, 77074, with Rabbi Roy A. Walter officiating.Donations may be made to Texas Children’s Hospital for juvenile diabetes patient care and research or to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.Watch the video of the Funeral / Memorial Service here.
