Margaret Parker Golden, 77, of Houston, TX passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2021. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Hazel Hirsch Parker and Samuel Parker. She married Richard Golden on June 13, 1965 and they had two children. She is survived by her daughters Michelle Golden Kelly (Joe Kelly), Danielle Golden, two grandsons Parker and Griffin Kelly and an extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Margaret was a long-time resident of Orange, CT where she lived since leaving her childhood home in Wesport, CT at the age of 21. She and her husband retired to Houston, TX to be near family. She attended Russell Sage College in Troy, NY and graduated from University of Bridgeport in CT with a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Education.
Margaret began her career as an English teacher. She stayed home to raise her children when they were young, but went back to work as a tutor and eventually a bookkeeper at the family’s printing business where she could keep an eye on her husband.
Margaret was a kind woman who cared deeply for all persons in her life. She treated everyone with warmth and dignity. Her last four years on this planet were spent battling Lymphoma and Ovarian cancers. She fought valiantly and bravely.
