Madilyn R. Frosch, age 95, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Haskell. She will be greatly missed by her children: Jan and Rick Sander, David and Aileen Frosch, Lori and Don Degen; grandchildren: Brian and Sarah Sander, Ashley and Van Voorhees, Crystal and Jason Ricker, Heather and Taylor Evans, Matthew and Katie Degen, Andrew Frosch and fiancée Jordan Esparza, Lauren Frosch, and 12 great-grandchildren.Madilyn was born in Houston, TX on January 28, 1924 to Ethel and Harry Rosenblatt. She and Haskell were married for 63 years at the time of his passing in 2010. She loved and cherished the time she spent with her family, and never once forgot a birthday or anniversary. She was welcomed into a large and loving family, including 8 brothers and sisters and all of their children. She instantly became the one many nieces relied upon. Many Sundays were spent with the entire family, and they traveled all around the world together. She was a member of Congregation Emanu El for over 70 years, and participated in the Elders where she and Haskell were co-presidents. For the past 10 years she enjoyed her life at The Hampton/Brookdale where she took joy in being part of a kazoo band, and was a member of a number of committees. Mahjong was her favorite pastime for many years.A Memorial Service will be held at Noon, Friday, March 8, 2019 in the Proler Chapel at Congregation Emanu El, 1500 Sunset Blvd. in Houston. Rabbi Oren Hayon will officiate.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society or Smirnov Catering.
