Louis Mankofsky Stoler, Lou, Dewey
Louis Mankofsky Stoler passed away on July 13th, 2022 at the age of 67 after a long battle with dementia. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Alfred and Adelaide Stoler on September 20th,1954. He attended Ladue High School in St. Louis and went on to earn his undergraduate degree from University of Texas at Austin and law degree from University of Houston. He practiced at several firms in Houston during his professional career and took a huge amount of pride in being a lawyer. He was devout in his Judaism, attending Shabbat services at Congregation Emanu El until he no longer was able. He loved staying active and fit, but always found room for his favorite Carrabba's pizza.
He is survived by the true loves of his life - his children. Elizabeth (Stoler) Bell and son-in-law Christopher Bell, Zachary Stoler and daughter-in-law Dena Stoler, and Andrew Stoler and daughter-in-law to-be Nicole Alexander. He was also a devoted brother and uncle, survived by his sister, Jane Stoler Kadosh and brother-in-law Naftalii Kadosh, his nephews Jordan (and wife Avital), Oren, and Matan Kadosh. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Adelaide Stoler, his brother, John Stoler, and his nephew Justin Stoler.
The Stoler family would like to thank The Village of Meyerland and their extremely dedicated staff from the bottom of our hearts for providing continuous and loving care the last 5 years of Lou's life.
