Linda Carol Salim, 70, passed away October 4, 2013 with her loving family by her side. She was born January 3, 1943 in New York City to Benjamin and Sally Cohen. Linda was one of four children.Linda was an accomplished ballet and modern dancer. She broke many barriers in a career spanning the 1960s and 1970s with the NY Ballet, Rockettes, and while dancing gigs at the Apollo and Copacabana Theaters.Linda moved to Houston in the late 1970s. She volunteered at Congregation Emanu El and the Harris County Democratic Party. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She most enjoyed spending time with them, watching them grow up to become wonderful people.Linda is survived by her ex-husband and lifelong friend Leo Killoran of New York; her daughter Danielle Nieto and husband Abraham of Sugarland; her grandchildren Zoe and Zaid Nieto and her great-grandchild Ava Nieto; her sister Marsha Marcino living in California; her very dear nephew Joshua; her best friend Arlene; and many other special friends.
