Doris Solomon

Doris Kay Solomon was a lady of great talents who loved life, music, cooking and art.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister.  She was born on October 17, 1938, in Laurelton, New York, and passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Houston, Texas.  She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dr. James W. Solomon, her children Susan Solomon Scheinthal, Scott Scheinthal, Julie Solomon Goodfriend and Robert Goodfriend; her grandchildren Michael Scheinthal, Samuel Scheinthal, Elizabeth Goodfriend and Allison Goodfriend; her sister Irma Plotkin Freedline, husband Yale Freedline and nephews and nieces; Randy Freedline, Debbie Freedline, Gary Freedline, Yuan Freedline, Lori Freedline, Dr. Allan Freedline and Sylvia Freedline; great nieces and nephews Ashley Shaw, Joey Freedline, Brittany Freedline, Daniel Freedline, Alex Freedline, Kyle Freedline and Justin Freedline; and her beloved Irish Setter, Holly.In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston: www.houstonjewish.org, or a charity of choice.Watch the video of the Funeral / Memorial Service here.
