Bryan Craig Howell, resident of Houston, Texas, passed away on August 3, 2018 at 53 years of age at Harbor Hospice in Houston, Texas. Bryan was survived by his parents, Marvin and Anita Howell, brother and sister-in-law, Damon and Amber Howell of Colorado and brother and sister-in-law Matthew and Tamma Howell of Texas plus nieces, nephews and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by five grandparents, an aunt and a cousin.Bryan was born on April 7, 1965 in Glasgow, Montana. His parents are Marvin Willard Howell and Anita Marie Howell. Bryan grew up in Papillion, Nebraska and attended Papillion La Vista High School where he received many honors. He attended college at the University of Nebraska at Omaha obtaining two degrees; a B.S. in Finance and a B.A. in Speech Communication. Bryan lived in Nebraska, Kansas, Virginia and Texas. Bryan worked for the Department of the Treasury Office of the Comptroller. He earned an M.S.W. in Medical Social Work from the University of Houston. Bryan was a member of Congregation Emanu El. Bryan was involved with several organizations including Holocaust Museum of Houston, Bo’s Place and the Mason Lodge.Bryan’s burial was at Emanu El Memorial Park Houston, Texas. Bryan requested that in lieu of flowers or other perishables a donation be made to one of the following charities: Bering Omega Dental Clinic (BUMC, Houston, Texas); Bo’s Place, Houston, Texas; Brazos Abiertos in care of Dr. Gordon Crofoot; Congregation Emanu El, Houston, Texas or Holocaust Museum of Houston (Permanent Fund).From Bryan’s email tagline: Do Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly.
